Disneyland Snapshots - February 1969 - Part 1

Here are a few snap shots from Disneyland – February 1969. These are from a large set of pictures that vary in quality but most are pretty good. In no particular order, let’s take a look at the first few that caught my eye, I’ll post more from this set next week.

The Aggregation is ready to jam, if only someone would watch them. How darn cool is that stage, that backdrop, that top planter thingy – I bet I know a few bloggers that could fill those chairs!

It must have been a pleasant February day, sunglass-helmet-hair lady looks dressed for summer (or a rumble). Granny has one of these (link) souvenir bags!! I think I see where the "Tomorrowland Cross" may have come from....

A little blurry but boy do I like this photo; I’ve stood in that exact spot trying to get that exact photo. Is that the Global Van Lines Truck in the background?

Sure enough there’s the van with the boys trying to get it to run and Granny still clinging to that souvenir bag!

Where are all the guests? Who cares, I’m thirsty – I’m gonna get myself a Sunkist Fresh Lemonade then a Fresh Orange Juice.

The front of the Alice car looks a little beat up. Nice legs on the ride attendant, what's her costume supposed to be?

That Fire Truck shot sure is great - love the sense of motion!

She's got a good sturdy butt on her too! It perks up that short skirt and pinafore quite nicely. Well worth the price of admission!

Hmmm, the back side of water...

... or the back side of the Alice attendant...?

These are all attractive shots, each in their own way.

(Trying to keep this a "family" blog.)

Thanks VDT.

Those are great photos! The Aggregation needs groupies. Love that stage.

So that's where the Tomorrowland Cross is from! You are the only person I have ever known to talk about it, did you discover it?

The Main Street photos are excellent, as is the Alice in Wonderland pic. Nice bunch, I hope we will see more.

Love the shot of the Rolly Crump stage and the Carousel of Progress behind it.

I had never noticed the Tomorrowland Cross until you first pointed it out in a trip report, but it did look like it was a remnant from something else...congrats on finding the missing piece of the puzzle!

Maybe the Alice cast member is wearing a bustle?
