Grad Nite 87

I’m not done torturing you with Grad Nites yet, here’s a fun neon crew from Gran Nite ’87! The girl standing at the entrance of the Omnibus looks like she has a deep voice and is also running the entire show, everyone else just looks, well, kind of nerdy (this coming from someone who owned one of those skinny ties the guy on the upper right is wearing).

Over 1,000 schools participated in Grad Nite ’87! I wonder how many grads “fantasized with the magic of Captain EO”? Awesome Rocket Jets photo, wow! There's (Rainbow?) Mickey with a new 1987 Star Tours. Don’t forget, Star Tours closes July 26th 2010 until May 2011 for the installation of Star Tours 2.0. I'm going to try and see the last showing of 1.0 in July and the first showing of 2.0 in May 2011!!!

Everybody Wang Chung Tonight” is that a question or a statement? Anyway, rock with them, Bobby Brown, Krash and some other people that I will admit I DO remember…

We were all there” how corny!

Now I know why there are so many schools listed on these later grad nite programs, 1,000 schools is a lot! Mine is on there, is yours?

1000 schools, CRIPES! In those early souvenir programs, the list was more like 40 schools. Wang Chung was still a pretty big deal in 1987 (remember their OTHER hit, "Dance Hall Days"?). And there's Mr. Whitney Huston!

The park must have been packed! Hopefully Wang Chung distracted the crowd so the die-hards could get to the rides!

I went to Grad Night 87 at DisneyWorld in Orlando - we had the same "entertainment" line-up. This post gave me a good laugh :-)

I was there but sick as a dog from food poisoning and eye infections in both eyes from the pool the day before... Not a happy memory

It was a great time! I like the bands, but I spent all of my time riding all the rides! John Muir High alumni

Red Bluff High School was there, but apparently someone missed the print deadline.
