Sneak Preview Days - Knott's 1977

Not sure what this May 14, 1977 Sneak Preview Days at Knott's Berry Farm ticket is for, but this ticket sure promised a good time. Unlimited rides and some bargain food!

I don't think there were any "rides" that opened that year. Could it have been a sneak peak for some new park entertainment? I wonder when they began having the ice shows in the Goodtime Theater?

Is it just me, or did Knott's start to lose some of its magic when they began to get away from the Old West themes used for so many years? I liked the "Roaring 20's" area when I was a kid, but looking back, it just doesn't feel like Knott's so much, or rather, it feels more like so many other parks.

I agree with Major's assessment of the 20's section. It was great when I was in my early teens, but when I visited again in my early 20's, it had a "Magic Mountain" feel to it that was at odds with the rest of the park.

Hmmm, Sneak Preview Days... of what, indeed? Montezooma's Revenge was still a year away. Have never seen this ticket. Thanks for the look.
