Bonus Sunday

Welcome to Bonus Sunday. From Friday's 1984 post, here is the entire Summer 1984 Vacationland Magazine. Summer 1984 is the last published issue of "Vacationland", don't worry, I've got plenty of old ones to post still!

Thanks for the scan! It's such a shame that they stopped publishing this great magazine... since Eisner came on board in 1984, I can only assume that getting rid of "Vacationland" was one of his many cost-cutting measures.

Fantastic - thanks so much for this. I hadn't made the 1984/Eisner connection, but I'm sure that's what it was. Another one of those special things gone...

Thanks again for the great scan!

Love that Vacationland Cover. I always love seeing little corners of the park illustrated- even if they didn't really exist! Kind of neat to imagine this turn of the century house somewhere on Main St. Am I correct in assuming that this painting was done by Charles Boyer? Interesting how Brer Fox and Bear were used so much back then. Nowadays Disney hides them away, but they were just one (or two) of the gang back in the day.
