Disneyland Snapshots - July 1959

Here's a nice set of three snapshots taken in June/July 1959. These little square photos held up pretty well for being 50 years old!

Wow, check out all those late '50's fashions!

"This is a color print" Hmmmm, I would have never guessed...

This Matterhorn image is not from the same set, its two years later - July 1961, still looks pretty new.

Nice photos! But that last photo needs some better indexing terms!

These are nice, and even though I've seen a zillion shots of the Castle, that one is my favorite. Sometimes it's the people (in this case, the ladies in their dresses) that make the picture great.

I love vintage shots of the park!! The reason it says "Color Print" is because back then people would get their black and white photos TINTED with colors. So - this was an actual Color Print. :) Thanks for your awesome blog!!!!

Very nice snapshots indeed! I like the Castle shot as well. It looks like the Carousel was closed that day...it has it's curtain drawn around it. Also, the two middle banners (or whatever they are called) on the Castle bridge are tweaked. One is turned completely sideways and the other is about 90 degrees askew. I wonder what was going on there?

FYI, i just listed some unused Disneyland tickets from 1982 on Ebay. Thought you might enjoy them. Also, i really enjoyed spending time on your blog today. This is a wonderful archive.
