No vintage post today, I spent yesterday at the D23 Expo and had a super blogger dinner afterwards, then got home too late for Magazine Monday. The Expo was pretty fun, not a ton of stuff for the pure “Disneyland” fan, but plenty to do & see for the “Disney” fans. For a great report on the Disneyland aspect of the show, see Miceage (link).
The original Mr. Lincoln is in the “What’s new in the Parks & Resorts” exhibit. This exhibit was well done and Tony Baxter was hanging out in there for a while so it was cool to see him. If only I had the nerve to ask for his autograph!!!!
Tickets anyone?
The roof of the convention center has a nice view of the park… Boy does the Castle look small from way up there.
The new Tron light-cycle looks amazing, let’s hope the movie is amazing as well.
The highlight of the day was meeting several blog readers (Jack, John, Matt, Michael) and fellow bloggers Major Pepperidge (Gorilla’s Don’t Blog) and Matterhorn1959 (Stuff from the Park) – they were the Real celebrities at the Expo!

Wow, somehow Mr. Lincoln looks kind of scary in the flash picture!
Yeah, I am not good about asking for autographs. I usually just don't want to bug them. A good way to break the ice is to ask to borrow $5 first.
It was a pleasure to meet and hang out with you yesterday!
I never thought to borrow money (from celebrities anyway!) and I could have used an extra $5!
Matt, it was great meeting you as well, what's your email? Can you send it to: VintageDisneylandTickets@gmail.com
Thanks for coming to dinner with the motley crew! It was great meeting you.
