Bonus Sunday

Welcome to Bonus Sunday. From Wednesday’s 1966 post (link) here is the complete issue of “The Disney World” from November 1966.

As you can see in this un-credited photo, it appears that this issue of The Disney World was on Walt’s desk on that sad day in December 1966.

A few select articles. Please download the entire issue, this is a fascinating look at Walt’s “Disney Company” as it was juggling so many cool projects at once.

The back cover is pure 1966 Holiday goodness...

Here’s a little story about Fred MacMurray appearing in an upcoming Popular Mechanics article about building a Walt Disney Christmas Tree.

Does this blogger happen to have that December 1966 issue of Popular Mechanics? Of course! Come back tomorrow for a look inside.

Favorite line: "Mrs. Elva Miller, idol of the teeners....". TEENERS? That's a new one.

That is the issue of "The Disney World" that I always wanted because it was on Walt's desk. Now I don't have to buy it, thanks!!

A great magazine Tim! Nice picture of Walt's desk too. Thanks as always.

The cover in the article is a mockup, since the nameplate covers Santa's head. On the published cover, Santa is in front of the title.

Also, the text box is a pasteup instead of a knockout.

I need a life.
