Disneyland - For your information April 1, 1977

Happy April 1st everyone, keep you wits about you today, don’t’ forget its April Fools Day! I’m not really creative enough to fool anyone on my blog, so we’ll celebrate April 1st with a new flyer for the season.

Setting the way-back machine to exactly 32 year ago, Disneyland has a new “For your information” flier. This 4 by 9 inch heavy card stock flier is effective 4/1/77 thru 9/18/77. These might have been for local hotels or travel agents or ?

Space Mountain’s grand opening weekend May 27, 28 and 29. Senior Days, Date Nites, Main Street Electrical Parade, Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks, ah the gold old days.

Let’s look at a 1977 Ticket book. Mickey is welcoming up with open arms, how cute!

Letters of joy

Neat 70’s Disneyland logo, it reminds me of that Summer of 77’ when for the first time me and my friend spent the whole day at Disneyland with no adults!!!!

Too many fun things to do in one day, but lets try and do them all anyway.

I’m in a “B” ticket mood today and I’m torn between using this ticket for Casey Jr. or The Swiss Family Tree House… Alice, you’re a close 3rd.

You have got to the love the art work for the original Space Mountain, its so Super Seventies! Check back on Bonus Sunday for this entire issue of the Disneyland Line – Special Magic Mountain Edition, every page is about the new attraction.

I thought long and hard about My Alice comment, and I thought I might get Matt's attention. I do love Alice now (possibly in ways I'm not supposed to) but in 1977 I thought the Alice ride was a snore, woulda helped if I had actually seen the movie as a kid!
