Our Silver Celebration: A Family Affair

Here's a fun brochure from 1980. Our Silver Celebration: A Family Affair. Seems to be an explanation of the coming promotion for cast members and vendors families. The cover is a little beat-up, but the rest in in fine shape.

Classic castle shot. I miss the subdued colors.

Do not adjust the focus, we are in control.

A part of the "old" Fantasyland that looks like the "new" Fantasyland.

Great center-fold photo but..... Where was this taken? Is that a wagon they use at Disneyland?

Samples from the advertising department.

A little over used, but a great photo nonetheless..

Fun times...

I think the photo of the wagon was taken where Big Thunder is today, but that's an educated guess.

The 25th parade used several wagons including a turn-of-the-century circus wagon.

Could that wagon be a Conestoga Wagon minus the cloth covering? Interesting, whatever the case.

Wow, I vividly remember all of the 25th anniversary stuff, I had already started my Disneyland collecting in a small way at that point!

Very nice! Great description of the parade on the center-fold photo page and a beautiful shot of the percheron team.

You might enjoy my look back at Disneyland 25:

The costume worn by the driver looks like the same ones worn by the drivers of the 1907 steam calliope at the end of the 25th B-day parade and the horses look like the ones that pulled it. Maybe they were training the horses to pull the calliope in the backstage area, but didn't want it getting dirty, so they used a wagaon similiar in size and weight?
