Welcome to Magazine Monday. Today's Disneyland related magazine is from March 1960, "Rodding and Re-Styling" is a TV Guide size magazine for the hot rod crowd.
The First Annual Car Club Day was held at Disneyland's Holidayland. This article is all about custom rods so there really isn't anything about Disneyland and very little about the mysterious Holidayland, but there are some cool cars daddio!
There are no splashy advertisements so how about a fun article on how this guy and his "Renewed Stude".

Holy cow, that was interesting! Gotta share this with my brother-in-law.
Don't you wish this was in color?? Studebakers... I'd own one now if they still made 'em as cool as they did back then.
Since the article doesn't mention it, you might not be aware--September 5 (the date of your post) was the anniversary of Car Club Day!
As a member of the Road Lords Car Club at the time, there doing things for the show and dance, it was a really nice event, I met and talked with some of the owners of the vehicles that were there for display. Some of them were George Barris, Dean Jeffries, Norm Grabowski, and others. It truly was fun, although for reasons I still do not understand, we didn't have any more shows and dances. The vechcles were fantastic, and the dance was a lot of fun. It was my understanding that we had the biggest Labor Day crowd ever at that time. Holley the old timer now:)
