Bonus Sunday - Walt Disney World Vacationland Spring 1974

Welcome to Bonus Sunday. Continuing with the celebration of Walt Disney Worlds upcoming 40th aniversary, here is a super issue of Vacationland, Walt Disney World Edition, Spring 1974

Download the entire 40 page issue here: WDW Vacationland Spring 1974 - 155mb

Some highlights from this awesome issue.

See a matching Ringling Bros. Circus World ticket from an old post here (link).

An East Coast version of Knott's Berry Farm?

Only in Florida (Actually Georgia) would a "Swamp" theme park be possible.

Actaully, the Okefenokee Swamp Park is in Georgia. Six Gun Territtory was more like a Ghost Town in the Sky without the mountain.

I love this issue of Vacationland. I had it many years ago but misplaced it through several moves. Thanks for sharing.

I think Patrick had some pictures from the Okefenokee park. Meanwhile, I don't think I've ever seen this issue of "Vacationland" before, at all! Neat Sam McKim illustration on the cover.

Was there a Disneyland edition? 'Cause I do remember having something like this with that cover but not the contents...

Wonder what's become of 'Treasure Island - a garden of earthly delights'.

What Chiana Said.

I had a version with this cover, it was like "where's waldo" for pirates. Great stuff, but none of the insides pages look familiar.

Thanks!
