Disneyland in Slides - July 1980

Let's take a trip to Disneyland in July of 1980.   Sid and Veronica area ready to make some magic memories!  It's weird to see the Thunder Mountain path with the old Fantasyland connected to it, it doesn't compute.

Sid looks pretty square compared the suit guy that has his back to us.  The old Fantasyland colors were fun.

Veronica looks swell in this show, except for the kids face in the lower left corner.

Interesting angle.  And this photo proves once and for all that Pirate Ships do have electrical outlets.

Ronnie looks nice but come on Sid, remove the trash from the background.

Skyway time!

Super shot of Tomorrowland taken from the Monorail.

The Mighty Matterhorn and I think that's the flag/banner for the Motorboat Cruise!

Yup, its 1980!

Yup it's 1980 hehe

Still enjoying every post, I get them on my rss feed reader thingy. :)

You're right about that Big Thunder Trail opening to the old Fantasyland. Odd! But it does bring back happy memories of visits trodding that trail many times, always liked it back there.

Veronica is a dish!

Is that Gene Roddenberry on the right of the Veronica from teacup shot...

Blackbeard often plugged in to light his beard, so we knew they were wired. And something must account for Jack Sparrow.

The monorail shots are delightful.

ps these CAPTCHAs are getting awful hard to read sometimes. x|

Hi Chiana_Chat, great hearing from you, thank you for the nice words...

The Thunder Mountain pass is still one of my favorite spots, on those (rare) slow week days in the spring I can walk the whole path in the morning and no one is there.

I thought Veronica was rather stunning myself, so much that I didn't seen Gene Roddenberry off to the right!

Very nice color in these, I totally agree with you, it is weird to see the Big Thunder area and the old Fantasyland.

And Chiana, these new captchas are horrible! Sometimes it takes me 2 or 3 tries.
