Boy oh boy, I love Los Angeles souvenir items like this! What a great booklet. It is interesting to note that the Disneyland images (and the POP images) are all postcard photos. Perhaps the others are as well. Maybe the publisher of this booklet also printed postcards?

That's a good guess Major, a post card publisher would be in an excellent position to publish a book at minimal production cost.

Great item. I wish I had gotten to see Pacific Ocean Park! I've heard about a diving bell attraction, but I don't think I've ever seen a pic of it. That must be it in the top pic on the POP page....it looks a little scary! I wonder if they were like the DL Subs and remained partially above the water, or if they went ALL the way under?

I was really young but I have a memory that the diving bell did go all the way under - although probably not too far under. I know that one of the "thrills" was that they brought it up fast and then let it splash down (you can sort of see this happening in the photo). It was fun to watch this outside. I never rode it.

Very cool souvenir book. POP was a very exciting place to go. Great fun for a youngster. Plus the smell of the salt air was great. Nice job Tim. Much appreciated.
