VIP Family Fun Party at Disneyland - October 19, 1980
There's nothing better than a VIP Family Fun Party at Disneyland. On October 19, 1980 Disneyland had a "Special Party", which sounds neat but I'm thinking a "Private Party" is more exclusive!
As a teenager, I would love it when the employees would tip us off that there was a "mix in" that night. Meaning that it was a private party, but that the park would not be cleared out. At closing time 99% of the guests would pour out of the gates, but nobody ever "swept" the park and any stragglers left in the park got to stay and "mix in" with the private party people. Of course it wasn't always that way, sometimes they would clear the park out completely. I wonder what the deciding factor was. Maybe it depended on how much the private party paid to have DL for the night or maybe it was how many people were going to be in attendance for the private party? Ah, those were the good ol' days!

I can't even imagine a private party at Disneyland. Do they keep all the rides open? Is the park fully staffed? Must cost a freakin' fortune.
