Bonus Sunday

Welcome to Bonus Sunday. For this Happy Easter we’ve got two posts in one. Up first it’s an Easter Parade of Entertainment at Walt Disney Word.

Interesting “Purple” theme.

Overnight stays available for your pet, I’m pretty sure Disneyland never offered that.

From April 13th's post (link) here’s the Spring 1982 issue of Vacationland.

EPCOT looks cooler here than it actually turned out.

TRON! Maybe it will be so successful they’ll immediately follow it up with a sequel?

New shopping at the Disneyland Hotel in 1982, all gone in 2011.

Charming.

I wonder, did the Ken-L-Ration kennel allow folks to leave their pets overnight? There are always those lucky folks that come to Disneyland for a two or three day visit.

Love the Vacationland, I think I got my copy back when I was a subscriber! The blurb about the three movies is interesting, I think those were the last days of Ron Miller; he was trying to do something new with Disney movies, and should get credit for it!

I went to Disneyland today and the rain scared people away so it wasn't crowded at all. Quite nice!

Major, from what I've read, I don't think animals were kept overnight at the kennels.

Could you actually subscribe to Vacationland? I thought it was for the hotels in the area.

A similar magazine you could subscribe to was Disney News as part of the Magic Kingdom Club. More than once the cover and some of the interior articles were copied to both publications.

I don't remember seeing any subscription info in the issues of Vacationland I have sen in physical or these PDF copies.
