Look at all the fun places to visit during your Anaheim vacation.

I would guess this is a couple years later than the previous brochure; the TV in the room looks a little newer. The room décor however looks just a lovely as before. That shuttle bus is nightmare inducing! I wonder what happened to their VW Van shown in the previous brochure.

Those are some amazing deals. Each package includes lodging and admission tickets to multiple parks!

“Go by Air”. Ok, so those rates aren’t so cheap. If you shop wisely you can still get similar airline rate today. Don’t bother calling some of those airlines, they are long gone.

This was always one of the great places around Disneyland. Cool post Tim. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteCheck out that crazy bus! Love it. I would kill to stay in a retro hotel like this today! KILL KILL!
ReplyDeleteThose airfare prices - crazy! That fare from Chicago back then was $246. In todays dollars, that's $1,302.79! $326 from New York is $1,726.46 in todays dollars. Can you IMAGINE paying that much today? Makes you realize how insane the airline industry is today.
ReplyDeleteMy family and I stayed there in 1964!!
ReplyDeleteboy was it HIP!
I loved the pool!!! Thanks Tim for the trip down memory lane... to the land of "Stovall"
I wonder if they borrowed a photo from one of the Space Age's "sister" hotels, The Inn of Tomorrow? If you compare the "Moon House" by the pool to the photo in the previous brochure that you posted, it is different. The one at the Inn of Tomorrow looked just like the one in today's brochure....and is still standing today. I have photos of it and have been wanting to post them, but other post ideas keep getting in my way!
ReplyDeleteI remember that lobby. Blue, white and silver were the colors of the future in that time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun post, VDT.
