Hey, this was handed out at DL on our nation's 200th birthday! I have family members that went that day and I remember they had a copy of this. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go....or maybe fortunately. Wasn't that a record day for attendence at DL? Or was that Knott's that broke their records on July 4, 1976? Maybe it was both!
I don't have information on the attendance immediately at hand, but a 1989 Disneyland Line says the Kennel had a record 193 pets. Where did they put them all?!
Any time I read a quote from Walt in a guidebook or brochure, I just assume that it was actually written by Marty Sklar or one of those publicity dudes.
They also handed out little plastic pinback flag pins with "Disneyland" on the back. http://sorcerersworkshop.org/images/pins/pin_1976flagtranssm.gif http://sorcerersworkshop.org/images/pins/pin_1976flagbacktrans.gif
