It was very special to me because we visited the park often when we had visitors from overseas, and it was very much a comforting place where I felt safe and happy. Dancing was much of my identity when I was younger so to get to do the thing that I love and be in my safe place was one of my greatest memories!

I still remember Winnie the Pooh playfully teasing our instructor while we were queuing backstage for the parade! Visiting the costume buildings was pretty exciting too.

Thank you for posting these memories!Teri Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10222012272122607835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5157943953608089697.post-67714343744046860802011-04-11T21:37:25.942-07:002011-04-11T21:37:25.942-07:00I remember going to Disneyland during this event a...I remember going to Disneyland during this event and it was fantastic. 29 years ago? Yikes! I wish that I had taken more pictures. I did shoot some Super 8mm movie film of it. I believe they also held a Latin festival back then, too, but I didn't experience that one. The recent Family Fun Days held at Disneyland was like a very small scale taste of what these events were like.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5157943953608089697.post-605019182181042862011-03-28T10:00:28.476-07:002011-03-28T10:00:28.476-07:00The last character is matsuri. And as far as speaking it, I only know some basic phrases.

I have a souvenir coin and some chopsticks from this event....oh, and a couple vintage newspaper ads. They are on my "list" of stuff to post. I had the winning bid on one of these entertainment schedules on ebay a while back, but the seller contacted me and said they had "misplaced" the item. :-(TokyoMagic!https://www.blogger.com/profile/16340756514811789233noreply@blogger.com
