Disneyland's Sparkle & Song All Summer Long - 1974
Are you ready to Sparkle & Sing All Summer Long? From August 25 thru 31, 1974 here’s gate flyer with a super cover – America Sings NOW OPEN!!! Boy do I love that artwork! This flyer is very similar to one I posted last week “Celebration Summer” from 1975 (link).

Magic Kingdom (WDW) 2-day Passport - 1981
It's time to show some love for Disneyland's Florida cousin. From Walt Disney Word's Tencennial here's a couple of Child 2-day Passports. The date should be stamped on these since they appear to have been used? Maybe the ink faded? Well, they're from 1981!
Visit the EPCOT Center Preview theater on Main Street! What do you suppose the little hand written numbers are for?
The Guide Books at Walt Disney World are about 50% larger than Disneyland's.
The map and each land had that 1980's Licorice Pizza style of artwork - I like it even though it makes me feel weird.
[my computer is typing this on its own] "I can't afford to have an independent programmer monitoring me. Do you have any idea how many outside systems I've gone into? How many programs I've appropriated?"

Magic Kingdom Club Membership Card - 1976
Back to the Magic Kingdom Club collection, this time its 1976! The 1976 Membership card also includes the Florida logo. This was from the Lockheed Employees Recreation Club, those wacky rocket scientists! Upon closer inspection, Ken Watternberger’s signature is printed and not an original!
“Not available to the cake eating public”. Use this card to purchase exclusive Magic Kingdom Club ticket books.
Here’s one of those exclusive ticket books, this is from June 1976.
The normal book had 11 tickets; with the club membership you got 13 for the same price. I believe they added an extra "D" and "E" ticket.
Sharp eyes will notice America Sings on the “D” and “E” tickets. The “D” ticket is actually from 1977 (the rest are June 1976) and has the recently downgraded America Sings which was still on the “E” Ticket in June 1976.
Just give me 4 hours, OK 6 hours (maybe 10 hours) in this Disneyland, that’s all I want.
The Magic Kingdom Club membership guide should have Disneyland’s Castle on the cover!
These brochures are folded really weird.
It opens up to this big travel section.
10% discount at Howard Johnson’s – earth tones included at no extra charge.
How about directions to Sinclair Paints in Santa Ana?

Celebration Summer at Disneyland - August 17-23, 1975
Its Disneyland’s Celebration Summer - 1975. This fun gate flyer is for August 17 thru 23, 1975. The drawing on the left is so hip – I’m in there somewhere!
Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods (who?) – Sunshine Balloon is rocking the Tomorrowland Terrace. And America on Parade is just a few months old here. Did you know that Don Dorsey created the unique new musical sound for this parade? He was also the guiding force behind the computerized synchronization of the Main Street Electrical Parade when it returned in 1977. Don's DECS sync system is now the Disney “global” standard for parades (link).

Magic Kingdom Club Calendar - Spring 1970
You may have noticed the blog has a slightly different look - I was playing with the new blog templates, I pressed "apply" and now there is no going back! Consider it a work in progress - yea, it looks a little weird to me too, it's not quite what I was looking for - yet.
Back to the post, here's a calendar from the Magic Kingdom Club for the Spring of 1970. Lots of private parties in the spring and isn't it odd to see the park closed on Monday's and Tuesday's?

Magic Kingdom Club Membership Card - 1967
From the Magic Kingdom Club vaults (that's the shoe-box) here’s a 1967 Membership Card. The castle appears to be very similar to the 1966 Membership Card, but this castle has some abstract shading – a security feature?
Usually the organization is a corporation or a union, this one appears to be from the Disneyland Recreation Club, what’s that all about (Jason?).
New for 1967, 10 percent discount on merchandise! But only at Disneyland Operated Shops & Stores? How were you supposed to know the difference?
This is one of the special ticket books you might have purchased with your 1967 Membership Card. Dated October 1967, it’s missing the admission ticket (naturally) which is too bad because unlike the Globe tickets inside, the admission ticket was the rare castle and star paper.
The Magic Key Coupon was the Cadillac for Disneyland attraction tickets. Good on ANY ride or attraction, A thru E!
These ticket books could only be purchased in the off season. During the summer, you only got a couple extra regular tickets in a standard “A thru E” type book. If you went frequently however, you could buy these books in the off months then use them in the summer, the never expire!
You’ll find me in the New Tomorrowland ’67!
Although $4.50 was a decent amount of money in 1967, admission to Disneyland and 10 E tickets for under five bucks seems like a great deal or a “Max. Value of $10.50”.

Magic Kingdom Club Members Don't miss the County Bear Jamboree
This fun and colorful mini-poster lets Magic Kingdom Club members know the Country Bear Jamboree opens March 23rd (1972). Wikipedia has the Bears opening March 4th, is the right? I like how Teddi Barra is swinging outside the border of the poster. According to the little code a the bottom left (2/72 - 65m) they printed 65-thousand of these in February 1972, wow, I wonder how many are left?

Magic Kingdom Club Parking Pass
Picking up again with the Magic Kingdom Club, here's a "Director & Editor" Car Pass from 1987. Are these for movie directors & editors? I'm not sure how that ties into the MKC?

Magic Kingdom Club
Now that I’ve dusted off the Magic Kingdom Club box of goodies, it’s time to start posting some of it. Where to start? How about a decent explanation of just exactly what the Magic Kingdom Club is and what it’s all about. What better way to break down the “club” than to read from its own marketing material?
The Disney characters try to lighten up the text, but unless you read repair manuals for fun (and who doesn’t?) this still might be a bit dry. Come back tomorrow for some vintage Magic Kingdom Club goodies.
