Disneyland Convention Value - 1984

Since I'm in a convention mood, here's an exclusive Disneyland Convention Value certificate. Dated 1984, the prices have been manually updated so maybe this is from 1985? CASH only!

This special Convention Certificate is not on globe paper, it kind of looks like basic "Deluxe" check stock.

Good News from Disneyland - August 1967

There’s Good News from Disneyland (no not Spiderman weds Tinkerbell) from the Delegates of the Southern California College – Costa Mesa, California.

There must have been a convention in late August of 1967 for the Socal College folks. This mini poster promises a “Special Disneyland Ticket Value” It’s the “Disneyland Convention Exclusive. This all sounds great, but what exactly does my discount consist of?

Speaking of conventions, how many local and non-locals are planning to attend the D23 Expo? (Gasp - my first D23 reference on this blog) I think I'll check out at least one of the days. Something about paying to hear Bob, John and Jay talk seems altogether wrong; shouldn’t they be paying me to listen to them? Oh well, its sounds like lots will be happening and some neat stuff to be announced (from Miceage);

* Star Tours 2.0 - Heck Yes!

* Mr. Lincolns enhanced return – I can’t wait!!

*Tony Baxter is looking forward to adding back a lot of the animatronic wildlife and storytelling drama that has slowly been removed from Frontierland over the last two decades”. – Can it get any better!!!

*A Tinker Bell and Fairies themed dark ride is now slated for the old Motor Boat Cruise lagoon early in the next decade.” – Huh?

Knott's Berry Farm - Complimentary Ticket Book - 1981

Magazine Monday's will return next week, until then, join me down at the farm.

From August 1981 here's a great Knott's Berry Farm Complimentary Ticket Book - never used.

The Knott Family welcomes you to the farm.

The back of the book makes it clear this is a Complimentary Ticket Book.

After you've gone thru the main gates, you get a bunch of these so you can enjoy "Where the West turns Wild"

Nice vivid grey Globe Safety Paper.

Undated Mark Twain Snapshot

Undated - anyone want to take a guess as to a year? I think I see some construction near the Frontierland Train Station?

Walt Disney World Gran Prix - April 1982

A couple fun slides of Walt Disney World's Gran Prix from April 1982. They sure have a lot of cars!

I wonder what's going on with the car on its own stand over on the left along the wall?

1955 Disneyland Ticket Book

Looking way back into Vintage Disneyland Tickets, this ticket book is from late 1955 and is ultra rare and its not mine. Thanks "SD" for yet another amazing scan! I believe the "X" in the serial number is what designates this as a "Courtesy Guest" book.

Disneyland Snapshots - July 1959

Here's a nice set of three snapshots taken in June/July 1959. These little square photos held up pretty well for being 50 years old!

Wow, check out all those late '50's fashions!

"This is a color print" Hmmmm, I would have never guessed...

This Matterhorn image is not from the same set, its two years later - July 1961, still looks pretty new.

POP Postcard - 1958

Hand dated as September 1958, POP sure looks fun in this artist rendition. I really like that big sail boat even if it is a little close to the pier.
